Frequently asked questions

Thank you for your interest in Impact Healing & Wellness Center in Denver, CO. Here are the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions.

Treatment costs will vary depending on each patient’s specific conditions and needs. Please consult this page for more information.

The answer to this question will depend on each patient’s unique situation, which is individually assessed during your initial visit. It’s important to keep in mind that true healing takes time and dedication. Depending on your current health and symptoms, you could feel better right away, or you may need treatments for weeks, months or years to achieve the results you want. Though our treatments are not an instant fix, with a little patience and an open mind, you’ll be well on your way to health and vitality.

The effects of each treatment build upon one another, and your actions are a key component in your healing plan. Focusing on your health and committing to a balanced lifestyle can help you get results faster. Even after your symptoms are resolved, continual treatments can assist in maintaining your health and preventing future issues.

Typically, we like to start with a higher frequency of treatments (e.g. once a week) and then move to once a month once the problems have resolved and results are maintained.

Starting January 1, 2024, we no longer accept insurance. This decision allows us to focus more on your healthcare needs without the constraints of insurance reimbursement. Veteran care through the VA/Triwest/Community Care Network remains unaffected. We believe direct payment will streamline operations, reduce administrative burdens, and enhance your experience. Alternative payment options are available, and we appreciate your understanding and trust in our practice.

Acupuncture is a therapeutic technique rooted in traditional Chinese medicine that involves the insertion of thin needles into specific points on the body. The underlying principle of acupuncture is based on the concept of Qi (pronounced “chee”), which refers to the vital energy that flows through pathways known as meridians.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, when Qi becomes imbalanced or blocked, it can lead to pain, illness, or various health issues. Acupuncture aims to restore the balance and flow of Qi by stimulating specific acupuncture points along the meridians.

Needleless acupuncture can be just as effective as traditional acupuncture, stimulating specific points during treatment.  We offer acupressure and other techniques to simulate the meridians without the use of needles.  These techniques are especially helpful for people who are nervous about acupuncture needles or small children who will not tolerate them.
